Under French Label Kitsuné, bad-ass Brooklyn Duo Bascabulla (Spanish for 'trouble maker') released their debut, self-titled, four-track EP in September last year. This included their sexy second single release, Métele.

Ease yourself into Monday with the sublime and sultry sounds of Puerto Rican power duo, Bascabulla. Brooklyn based boyfriend and girlfriend, Luis Alfredo Del Valle and Raquel Berrios make heart melting, hip-rolling music that is an eclectic mix of soul, psych and electro.

With Raquel on vocals and Luis on bass guitar (and a million other instruments), the pair draw influences from 1970's Latin music and Cuban psychedelic to create something sonically rich, experimental and unique. Released under the French Music Label Kitsuné, the second track off their self-titled EP, Métele is undeniably what Raquel describes as"Caribbean music of the future".

With her slinky, Spanish vocals oozing over a delicate base line, retro esq. synths and catchy percussion, Bascabulla capture the soul of the Caribbean in four blissful minutes. And even though Spanish may not be a part of your daily vocab, this dreamy 'love song' will get you all warm and whimsical inside and a little nostalgic about that trip to South America you never took.
