Purple Sneakers DJs Join The Secret Garden Festival Lineup

Next weekend’s sold out Secret Garden Festival is set to be a stonker – not least because everyone’s favourite coloured-trainer-wearing brigade are on the line up. Purple Sneakers DJs will be doing what they do best and getting Sydneysiders dancing at the two day camping event. 

It all kicks off this Friday 27^th February, in an illusive 3000-acre secret garden outside the city. (Hint: it’s Down’s Dairy Farm).

Purple Sneakers DJs are thrilled to be working with the Secret Garden initiative, which sees all proceeds from the festival tickets and bar sales being donated to a range of worthy charities and those in need. Since its inception, the festival has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for kids’ charities, including Oxfam, the Sarah Hilt Foundation and Girls and Boys Brigade.

For the past six years the festival has played host to an illustrious line up, and this year it’s the same again with over 60 excellent local and international acts across four stages. Stellar internationals like Parquet Courts and Sharon Van Etten are set to perform, alongside local legends such as   Oh Mercy, Client Liaison, The Griswolds, Japanese Wallpaper and UV Boi.

And the festival organisers have hinted at other exciting editions such as costume events and an abundance of food and drink options with Secret Garden Programmer Adam Lewis telling Triple J "We've put a big focus on perfecting what we do and making it a straight-up amazing weekend. This means investing in infrastructure to make sure our whole festival site, from the stages to the camping and bathrooms, runs as well as it possibly can - regardless of things like weather."

Over the weekend Purple Sneakers DJs will be holding down the fort between bands, and perhaps popping up for a couple of cheeky sets elsewhere too. Summer’s nearly over, so if you’ve been lucky enough to get your party paws on some tickets then be sure to join us for a couple of days of sublimely sunny fun.
