Live Review: T.Williams 'Days End'

4 February 2015 | 12:13 pm | Emma Jones

Veteran producer T.Williams has released a new track, 'Days End', which is to be released of his own new label, Today, Tomorrow.

From back in the day when he was known for his grimy beats under the name DREAD.D, to his name and music style change in 2010, T.WILLIAMS has consistently managed to stay on top and ahead of the game.

Now, he's doing it again with the announcement of his own record label, TODAY, TOMORROW, and first single - his own - Days End.

Off his forthcoming EP, Acoustic Treatment, Days End sees Williams continue his journey into the realms of house and deep house. The 5 and a half minute track is a rolling, smooth number featuring guitar licks and sax solos that is destined for some club love. Never one to stay within just one genre, Days End stays to true Williams form as it weaves in and out, picking and choosing influences and sounds to create an even bigger whole.

More details on the EP are still to come, but if this track is anything to go by, TODAY, TOMORROW's first release is set to be both formidable and bar-raising!

T and his label are setting out to focus on the integration of urban and electronic music, and will see the producer return to his grime roots. This will be evident in the label's second release; a vinyl only offering from JON E CASH.

Those in Manchester, UK are in even more luck, as TODAY, TOMORROW prepares for a curated date on February 12, featuring MARIBOU STATETRANCEMICSOUL and London's own TAYO.

Williams himself has been busy with a BBCR1 residency, as well as an appearance on Ship2Ship. He was, of course, also in Australia in April last year for a string of shows, and never really slowed down since then. Here's hoping all his hard work sees him return to us sooner rather than later!
