Originally known for his work for
Late Of The Pier
(known from the
Skins'
soundtracks), Sam Dust just released his new track,
Oino,
as
LA PRIEST
through the independent London based record company Domino Records.

After the demise of Late Of The Pier, Sam Dust moved to Greenland to study the Ivittuut region's electromagnetic phenomena on record sound, eventually releasing some experimental pieces of his own, one of which being Oino.

Oino captures the ideal blend of experimental funk, Middle-Eastern sounding vocals (yet the captivating lyrics are sung in English), and the unique electronic sound key to Sam Dust's previous work with Late Of The Pier. Each element adding another unique layer to this freaky and funky pop track.

The muted guitar solo during the bridge brings a fresh and captivating element to the song, which although may not be expected in a regular electronic piece, it is not surprising that Sam Dust has brought it to the table in Oino.

I want to listen to this song at a party, but also on the train on the way to work, when I'm feeling sad, while I'm cooking dinner, and whilst having drinks with friends. This song has elements that suit every situation perfectly, suiting any mood or any situation - as long as you, like the song, are prepared to get a little bit freaky.
