Originating from the Melbourne music scene, electronic producer Rohan Newman a.k.a Roland Tings is set to heat things up this summer in the release of his debut self-titled album ‘Roland Tings’.

As if that weren’t enough his recent single release ‘Pala’ is a small teaser into the delightful summer sounds that await us this January.

Honing the seasonal heat, ‘Pala’ is a heavily-synthed disco-house track, sporting the odd ‘police’ whistle throughout. It’s lightly bouncing electronic beats that seem to imitate that of a Caribbean steal drum sends audiences straight to the jungle where the funky, 70’s disco nuances can cause one to dance senselessly.

Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the track is it’s deep, melodic bassline that fits like clockwork with the equally as catchy ‘steel drum’ sequences atop. The unique additions of an impersonating dog bark, ‘police’ whistle (as mentioned before) and steady, rumbling beat collectively add to the tracks summer-esque charm.

With an Album on the way for late January (which will be released via Internasjonal), the producer has also managed to score the position of supporting artist for overachiever Chet Faker on his 2015 national tour.
