Live Review: Roland Tings 'Devotion'

1 December 2014 | 9:00 am | Lauren Payne

Roland Tings has a brand new track that is the first to be featured on his debut album.

He first burst onto the scene with his track 'Tomita's Basement' quite a while ago and since then, the producer has been surprising us with a series of brilliant tracks that just leave us wanting more. ROLAND TINGS has released a brand new gem for us to listen to called 'Devotion' and it shows him at his very best.

'Devotion' is the first single that Rohan Newman has released that will feature on his moniker's upcoming debut album, something we've all been anxiously waiting for. The album still hasn't got a title, but through this new offering, and the rest of his brilliant back catalogue, we know that it's going to be an album that will be playing through speakers all over the country.

'Devotion' has every element of a sweet experimental track with disco and techno influences. With hollow synths and heavy snares, the track brings to life a bit of electronic swagger that TINGS hasn't expressed much of in his previous work but we always knew was there.
