Live Review: Ryn Weaver 'Octahate' (Cashmere Cat Remix)

RYN WEAVER has only just released her breakout hit 'Octahate' and legendary remix wizard, CASHMERE CAT, has taken the track under his wing.

'Octahate' has an original mix that mixes a series of heavy drums with light synths that are not only catchy, but extremely fun to dance to. RYN WEAVER's vocals soar over the melody but the hard beat is very close to overpowering her voice as it sounds pretty damn dominant.

CASHMERE CAT has injected his own dreamy synths into 'Octahate' and remember how we shared a few remixes that were just as good as their original mixes earlier this month? Well I think we should have waited a month to publish that just so we could add this 'Octahate' remix to the list.

With light percussion opening the remix, CASHMERE CAT has created a very childlike feel to the track before an explosive synth jumps out of nowhere and shakes things up a tad. Chopped vocals coat the climax of the track and with samples flying across the track like shooting starts, CASHMERE CAT's remix sounds almost astral; like it should only be played under starlight.

CASHMERE CAT seems to always have something bubbling behind closed doors so keep an eye out for more new music from him as you probably won't see it coming.
