Live Review: Premiere: Sleepyhead's Wonderland Festival Mixtape

28 November 2014 | 4:01 pm | Hollie Cunningham

In preparation of this year's Wonderland festival, Perth's sleepyhead has granted us with a mixtape which we're premiering here at Purple Sneakers.

Inspired by Lewis Caroll's Alice in Wonderland, Perth's premier music festival 'Wonderland' is about to embark upon it's 4th year of musical mayhem. Animating the grounds of the Supreme Court Gardens with ear melting music from the likes of RUFUS, ALLDAY, WAVE RACER & WILLOW BEATS.

To celebrate the nearing of this adventure, Perth's mixmaster general SLEEPYHEAD is easing us in with an exclusive wonderland mixtape. He bops around from playing weirdo rap music to confused 18 year olds to experimental club music, then just when you think it can't get any more twisted, Whitney Houston's 'I'm every woman'.

Despite often making a fool of himself or falling asleep at inappropriate occasions, the audacity of his sets has meant he has had the fortune of supporting heroes like ONEMAN, RYAN HEMSWORTH, LIL B & LAPALUX.
