Live Review: Catlips Guest Mix for Purple Sneakers on FBi Click

7 October 2014 | 12:57 pm | Nick Luke

Future house producer, Catlips has delivered us a burner of a mix for this week's episode of Purple Sneakers on FBi Click.

Another week, another killer guest mix for the PURPLE SNEAKERS show on FBI CLICK. This time around we've enlisted the help of our Perth-based, DJ/Producer pal, CATLIPS. Time to get the funk on.

Taken straight from the source, CATLIPS (also known to her mum as Katie Campbell) is a young, WA-bound producer of silky, future-tinged house music. Combining audio and visual mediums to take a fresh spin on her particular flavour of music, her live performances and recorded releases are truly a force to be reckoned with.

With her debut EP hitting the internets back in 2012, entitled 'Takas', CATLIPS has been delivering a constant font of diverse material, including remixes, mixes, compilation appearances and mesmerizing live shows. For instance, just earlier this year she was seen among the myriad of incredible talent (RYAN HEMSWORTH, anyone?) featured on the 'Rat Pack #1' compilation, put out by our good friends at PILERATS. Who, coincidentally also delivered a guest mix for us a few weeks back - check it here.

And that's not all, folks - CATLIPS also appeared on the lineup for the 2014 Perth edition of the legendary BOILER ROOM.

With so much heat surrounding this young producer extraordinaire, it was only a matter of time before we had to get CATLIPS onto the FBI CLICK show to hear some sweet sounds. And, oh yes - sweet sounds we heard. Rad times were had.

If you missed out - and listening to the radio show on demand (which you can totally do) isn't quite your cup of tea - never fear, because we have graciously uploaded this mix (and every other guest mix) up onto our official Soundcloud page for your listening pleasure.
