Live Review: Premiere: Yeo 'Secret Powers' ft. Yule Post (Official Video)

It is with pleasure that us here at Purple Sneakers debut the latest offering from the ever evolving, genre melding genius that is YEO. "Secret Powers' finds the Melbourne producer delivering a delicious slice of indie pop which touches on 80s New Wave sensibility through lush synth arraignments and a saxophone solo.

However never does the song become pastiche, with German singer YULE POST's raspy, soulful vocals providing a unique modern touch. Not only a master of sound, Yeo himself directed the accompanying video clip for the single, which finds the group playing in silhouette against a glitchy, multi-coloured screen - the perfect backdrop to the group's eclectic sound.

Secret Powers will be released on October 24 through Yeo's personal label Sabremetric, in collaboration with Melbourne's limited edition cassette club Healthy Tapes. To celebrate its release, Yeo will be playing two exclusive single launches in Sydney and Melbourne.
