Live Review: Cymbals 'Talk To Me'
London dance pop band Cymbals groove to the beat of the 80s in their newest single 'Talk To Me'.
There has been a recent revival in the 80s, with a huge surge of artists going in opposite directions to the futuristic sounds the 2014 electronic acts are slanted to occupy. London dance band CYMBALS have released their latest single 'Talk To Me' off a groovy 7" split, with 'Innocence' set to be released on the other side as 'What Eternity'.
With their debut album titled 'The Age of Fracture', an immeasurable tumulus of change has been expected, calling for a shuffle in the heirachical system of the music industry. With catchy, upbeat and fast-moving electronic music at the top of that triangle, Cymbals' well tuned ears and raw edged approach for producing 'new old' music has seen them cut like a swift blade through soft serve tofu, shaking the balance at the top.
After being well-received in cities and countries miles away from their hometown, the four-piece build on the energy and enthusiasm from their shows to produce 'Talk To Me', wielding a time-pressing hourglass to capture a direct and instantaneous reaction from their time in USA. Their new track 'Talk To Me' covers most of the bases, knocking in a New Order-sounding synthesiser matched with a smokey tune in Jack Cleverly's voice, while flashy guitar riffs connect with the rudimentary beats creating fissures in the slamming cymbals of their music.

The single 'Talk To Me' will be featured on a 7" split titled 'What Eternity' set for a 1 December release. You can preorder the track printed on blue vinyl from HERE.
