After a hiatus, Art Department has unveiled the first single of their sophomore album 'Natural Selection', titled 'Cruel Intentions' featuring Seth Troxler.

Canadian duo ART DEPARTMENT, have unveiled the first single from their highly anticipated sophomore album, Natural Selection, titled 'Cruel Intentions' featuring underground house DJ, Seth Troxler.

The lads are fresh from their critically acclaimed debut album The Drawing Board, which was cited as an "underground masterpiece". That album reached #2 on iTunes and they were also deservedly awarded with the tag "Best Electronic Album" in 2011.

From the get go, 'Cruel Intentions' seems destined to reach the top of the electronic music chart. The deep house intro provides a somewhat haunting vibe when paired with the spoken words of Seth Troxler and sultry vocals of Kenny Glasgow.  It is a refreshing change from the tracks produced from their first album as the experimental vibe of the track promises to create excitement for their long awaited second album after 4 years.

Judging from the interview they did with Billboard, they revealed that the second album, Natural Selection, will provide a more mature sound than the first and will not feature any dance records. With the mystical vocals and ticking synth notes in 'Cruel Intentions', it is a promising newfound beginning for ART DEPARTMENT who will no doubt not only cater to their old legion of fans but will definitely make some new ones.

ART DEPARTMENT's sophomore album, Natural Selection will be released on November 18th.
