Live Review: Say Lou Lou x Lindstrom 'Games for Girls' (Official Video)

29 September 2014 | 3:48 pm | Darren Ng

Say Lou Lou get playful for their 'Game for Girls' video, in collaboration with Lindstrøm.

Their latest track 'Games for Girls' prolongs the marvelling ride that Say Lou Lou has been on. With their album already set for a February 2015 release, the Australian-Swedish duo still hasn't gotten off the hype from 2013's single 'Better in the Dark'.

Being on the better side of time, the sisters have collaborated with video director Dimitri Basil, independent film collective Welcome to Cult to build this stimulating music video for the sensational track.

Collaborating with Lindstrøm gives the track a brand new edge, enabling it to have fluid-like arms and limbs with the disco-like structure the producer has laid down. The entire song comes in like sweet addiction; moulding it as a sassy track that clutches onto a strong hook in the chorus, with the tingling bells coming off as light sensitive brushes across the skin. The lyrics enthral and tease, with a gift of waxing lyrical, the girls playfully jest "Game in my life is like a work of art, I don't do anything at all. I won't go chasing for the king of hearts, saving all your cheating for the fall."

The music video that Say Lou Lou creates shows off their playful side. Plotting out their entire scheme in Jackie Treehorn's house in the Big Lebowski, they set out the city of Los Angeles to plant art guerrilla style. Putting busts of themselves in art galleries, defacing their own billboard and getting into run-ins with unfriendly cops.
