Live Review: Soundcloud Wrap: Promnite

Not much is known about American Producer Promnite, but a quick listen to his SoundCloud is enough to get us absurdly excited for his Australian tour, coming up this month.

Released on Valentines day this year, his mixtape ‘Love Songs For What?’ is a creamy blend of R&B, trap, rap and pristine beats. One listen will transport you to the club, over to the bedroom and all the way back to the club again. Think Jeremih, R. Kelly or The-Dream, but at the same time, chopped and screwed, dropping low and all dressed in velvet.

Promnite’s really is an ‘aww dayum’ kind of sound. And it’s easy to see where it comes from when listening to his SounCloud Mix.

'Ever since SXSW where me, Falcs, Hoodboi and Kastle shared fried chicken, I knew it was real with him. He literally nails the OG 2 step/garage sound in this track while keeping it very current.'

Jeni Suk 'Bipolar'

'Jeni suk is such an amazing vocalist and just a wavvy girl to begin with. Vibe is perfect here. The missy sample locks it in.'
