Live Review: Wild Beasts 'Palace' (Foals Remix)
Foals have gone and done us a solid by creating a fantastic remix of Wild Beasts' 'Palace'.
If any of you have seen FOALS live before, you'll know how spectacular their sets are and how amazingly infectious their energy is. WILD BEASTS on the other hand, many of you may have not seen live just yet.
These guys do have a large collection of tracks that have become extremely popular over recent months and now their track 'Palace' has been remixed by FOALS; cue excitement.
We haven't heard much from FOALS since the release of Holy Fire, but there's no doubt in our minds that the British band have been hard at work whether it's playing shows, or recording new music (fingers crossed!). WILD BEASTS have already been remixed by SOHN and although that track was brilliant, this new FOALS remix just blows it out of the water.

With an atmosphere not unfamiliar to FOALS' own 'Spanish Sahara', 'Palace' now has a wonderfully bright atmosphere that not only feel relaxed and organic, but also bright and warm. With a series of twinkling digital synths being scattered across a very light soundscape, 'Palace' now has a very original melody that blends the best flavours of FOALS and WILD BEASTS. The ghostly opening brings things into a world that feels like it's full of smoke and enigmatic voices. Everything seems slightly more eerie in this remix, but also comfortable; like you wanted it to be eerie in the first place.
The FOALS remix will be featured on a special edition of WILD BEASTS' album Present Tense. It will be released on October 13 and features not only all of the original tracks from the album but also a variety of remixes, including SOHN's.
