Due to be released on the 23rd of November via Polydor, SHADOW CHILD & DOORLY are set to release the vocal edition of their stunning track titled ‘Climbin’ (Piano Weapon)’.

The UK based SHADOW CHILD and the LA based DOORLY joined forces to create the instrumental version that is just ‘Piano Weapon’. But a lyrical inkling made its way to the forefront of the creation, and a vocal edition was born.

Laced with a melody driven by the eclectic syncopated chordal sequences from the piano, ‘Climbin’ (Piano Weapon)’ stands out. The soulful vocals emanate a sense of professionalism and utter smoothness that would make butter cry. Climbing ever higher in intensity, the vocals actually aid in forging the mood of the track to unbelievable heights.

I think it adds a new dimension to the sound, and creates a sensual tension between the instrumental aspect and the vocal aspect. Definitely a smart move on the part of both producers to include the vocal aspect of this track.

Working soulful wonders for my ageing ears, SHADOW CHILD & DOORLY have somehow made an already stunning track, astronomically more intense.

Delicious.
