Live Review: Portugal. The Man 'Creep In A T-Shirt' (STRFKR Remix)
STRFKR has injectd some house flavour into one of Portugal. The Man's grooviest tracks.
STRFKR and PORTUGAL. THE MAN are probably not a combination that you would have expected to see anytime soon, but the two acts have come together and created a very energetic remix to the band's track 'Creep In A T-Shirt'.
Many tracks by PORTUGAL. THE MAN lend themselves out to remixes and STRFKR has found a way to inject some house flavour into this particular tune with some pretty fantastic results.
The original mix for 'Creep In A T-Shirt' definitely has it's own groove to it and if you did want to creep around the place in a t-shirt, it's definitely a song for that. A piano track blends together with strong horns and lighter drums and it all comes together in a way that sounds quite organic. The remix stays quite true to this original but has a fair few deep house synths and samples added in to give it more of a night-time piece.

The opening sequence already gives off a more digital vibe as house synths buzz their way in with a sample that bounces it's way over the top of each synth. The hum of the synths and the chopped vocals are kept to a minimum, letting the track work in a simpler way that less in your face and more about the deep groove that is still clearly apparent.
