Live Review: Flume & Chet Faker 'Drop The Game' (Sweater Beats Remix)

16 September 2014 | 12:06 am | Lauren Payne

Brooklyn's Sweater Beats has remixed Flume & Chet Faker' track 'Drop The Game'.

SWEATER BEATS, the Brooklyn-based beat maker, has begun to make huge waves over here in Australia and now that he has remixed 'Drop The Game' everyone will be keeping an eye on him.

The original mix prepared everyone for their long nights with it's melodic synths, but SWEATER BEATS has highlighted the bass and really gotten the party going with his new rework.

Keeping things bubbling along nicely throughout the introduction, the synths and bass work together to create an extremely solid base for FAKER's vocals to sit a top as they storm on through the track. Already you can tell that SWEATER BEATS has given 'Drop The Game' a sturdier backbone than it originally had.

Strings are also brought to the foreground of the remix with them assisting the chopped vocals as they hum their way through the melody. It's a fantastic mix and worthy of a great dance-off.

SWEATER BEATS will be releasing his own EP called Cloud City later on this yeah through HW&W.
