Live Review: Lil Silva 'Don't You Love' ft. Banks

1 August 2014 | 4:42 pm | Lauren Payne

Lil Silva has released a new collaborative track with Banks which sees him stepping into the spotlight.

If you know LIL SILVA well, you'll know that not only is he a successful musician, he is also a very successful producer. The man has been behind some of BANKS' most popular tracks and their collaborative spirit has helped each piece soar above and beyond what was initially expected of it.

The duo have been hard at work recording and keeping things going as smoothly as possible, but they have also recorded a collaborative track, one that they both can be extremely proud of.

The track is called 'Don't You Love' and is one of two collaborative tracks that LIL SILVA has on his upcoming EP. Both tracks have been recorded with BANKS but the pair have proved here that there is musical chemistry between them and who are we to ignore such a magnificent duo?

With LIL SILVA being behind-the-scenes for many of BANKS' work, it's quite refreshing to hear his own voice cooing over the wobbling synths that introduce 'Don't You Love'. His voice quietly echoes over the rougher melody that features a series of buzzing synths and crashing percussion. BANKS makes her mark on the track with a delicate glamour that we've come to recognise as her signature aura, she's a fabulous individual and when she sings her flavour oozes onto the project.

The harmonies used in the track are probably the most exciting thing about it with LIL SILVA and BANKS working together in a brand new way from what we've seen previously.

LIL SILVA's EP Mabel is due on August 4 through Good Years/True Panther and by the looks of things, it's going to be a goodun.
