Swedish producer HNNY (pronounced ‘honey’) has left us with plenty to look forward to for his visit to Australia this summer. The appropriately named ‘Surf Dude’ is the perfect thaw to your winter chill.

It’s safe to assume that this track should leave your mind a chopped up whitewash of wavy goodness, banging around that briny cranium of yours long after it’s end. What else but the sound of swirling surf to slowly lend into those toned guitars, heavy thuds and washed out effects? And it’s at around the 4 minute 30 mark that, as if dropping into a wave, HNNY lets those dance feels fall.

Cue ensuing good vibes.

The Swede has somehow captured that addictive feeling of elevated movement, something surfer dudes are all too familiar with themselves. Fear not, for instead of donning a wetsuit and doing battle with the surf at the close of this cold, wet winter, here you need only click play. With the sun and the sand, the lively repetitiveness of all elements involved here on ‘Surf Dude,’ is akin to waves breaking against the shore.

Catch HNNY this summer at Strawberry Fields and Outsidein Festival.
