Live Review: MO 'Walk This Way' (Lido Remix)
MØ's latest single has been remixed by Lido and now has a fair bit of bite to it.
MØ is still a very in demand artists and with her newest release 'Walk This Way' emerging in August, producer LIDO has gotten his hands on it and reworked it.
With the Danish singer's vocals soaring over the track, LIDO has chosen some very unique samples and synths to add into the track to create something that sounds like the soundtrack of an electric toy box.
With MØ already having an attitude all of her own, LIDO already has a very solid idea as to what path the remix to 'Walk This Way' should sound. The remix has bite and has an almost tribal influence that you can hear as the drums heave their way through the scattered samples. The producer has had huge success with previous remixes for BANKS and of course his own original work, but this new mix will no doubt turn heads as it explodes.

MØ's vocals carry the track across a rocky path of smooth distortion, tingling chimes, and solid beats. Various samples pop in and out of the track with some twisting slowly whilst others quickly zip past in a split second of curling and twists. Percussion plays a large part in LIDO's mix also with it becoming the backbone or really stabiliser to the entire track.
LIDO's remix has it's own wacky personality that seems to leap out from the initial melody. It pops and grabs you attention from the get go, proving that if you mixed a strong willed track with a talented producer who's not afraid to experiment, you'll end up with a very unique mix.
