Live Review: Kailo 'Need Ya' ft. Aela Kae

This my friends, this right here is the musical personification of the feeling I get after waking in a right panic and clutching madly around the bed for my phone to check the time only to realise, hey, it's Sunday - you don't work on Sunday's.

Sydney electronic artist KAILO has managed to capture every particle of every rainbow ever created, and transform it into sunny musical ear treats.

This track 'Need Ya' which features vocals by AELA KAE is the first single off KAILO's upcoming EP 'Ninties Girl', and in hearing this, I'm pretty damn excited for that to happen. 'Need Ya' has so much going on it's hard to know where to start, the classic funk beats that bring in the song, the backing vocals that are oozing with old school Motown cool, and of course the gentle yet sultry and jazzy vocals of AELA KAE that top it all off. And who could forget the closing vocal sample that is just about the best thing ever.

Sweet lyrics and buckets of sunshine and soul - this track is an absolute must for any time of the day or night.
