Live Review: Frames & Felix Lloyd 'Pacifique' (Polographia Remix)

29 July 2014 | 12:00 am | Lauren Payne

'Pacifique' has gotten a new makeover from the men of Polographia.

'Pacifique' was originally a track that FRAMES had put together with fellow producer FELIX LLOYD, and released through Club Sweat.

Now months later, the producer has called in some of our favourite artists to rework the track and produce a remix package worthy of our summer nostalgia.

After learning about the new Pacifique Remix EP, listeners became anxious to see which producers had the opportunity to transform the track, and what changes were going to be made. We didn't have to wait long to here MOONBASE COMMANDER's version of 'Pacifique' but now, only a few days later we have POLOGRAPHIA presenting their version of the track.

MOONBASE COMMANDER's remix has already shown us what a little hip-hop can do when infused with the tropics, now POLOGRAPHIA are ready to carry 'Pacifique' in a whole new direction.

Tropical goodness oozes out from POLOGRAPHIA's remix like the inner goo of a Starburst lolly and just brightens 'Pacifique' right back up. With a slower tempo, emphasis on the sensual side of the track is present with the light percussion adding in a sprinkle of flavour that creates a sweet and sugary sound. The beaming synths glide atop the track and fill it with a warmth that only the summer months can usually provide, 'Pacifique' in the hands of POLOGRAPHIA has become a tribute to the summer months with fruity goodness.

The Pacifique Remix EP is out now through Sweat It Out's Club Sweat and features extra remixes from MURAT KILLIC and OSAKA.
