Live Review: Bag Raiders 'Savannah' (Roland Tings Remix)

14 July 2014 | 11:55 pm | Lauren Payne

Roland Tings has remixed 'Savannah', a new track from an act that has influenced his music career.

With his Splendour In The Grass shows only a few weeks away, Melbourne producer ROLAND TINGS has gone ahead and remixed BAG RAIDERS comeback b-side 'Savannah'.

The track is featured on BAG RAIDERS most recent release 'Nairobi' and even though the track did sound great in the original mix, we can't help but love ROLAND TINGS' rework. The duo have been off the radar for quite sometime whilst TINGS' career has been flourishing with his own original singles received a lot of praise and now the 'Savannah' remix has brought both acts together and produces a very sleek piece of music.

When ROLAND TINGS shared his remix of Facebook he explained: "Bag Raiders were among the group of local producers who initially bridged the gap (for me) between rock & roll and electronic music. So its a big deal for me to be asked to do this." A very touching sentiment which obviously meant that a lot of time and effort went into this remix, despite the fact that it does sound quite simple at first.

ROLAND TINGS will be playing at Splendour in the Grass this month as BAG RAIDERS tour the United States. Both acts share an intricate love for electronic music and with this remix it's lovely to see both of their sides of 'Savannah'.
