Live Review: Yeo 'Kobe' (Official Video)

Melbourne local and all round epic producer YEO has teamed up with Sydney film collective MOOP JAW to produce a fiery and ominous clip for his latest track 'Kobe'.

This video comes ahead of his national tour and on the back of the release of his smoother than smooth track 'Girl'. A young exotic woman smoking a cigarette looks deep into the camera as two fast food workers duke it out under a rainy night sky.

The track is dark and features oodles of deep bass to compliment the brash nature of the video. The protagonist clutches fistfuls of camembert while the vocals carry off an angelic melody matched with skittish synth.

With themes of redemption, breaking out from the mold, and squished cheese, this clip for 'Kobe' keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat to see what may happen next. As the man strips down to his respective birthday suit, the nicotine fembot throws her lit butt on his clothes, creating a spectacular fire, allowing the protagonist to stroll away all Terminator style.

The collaboration between MOOP JAW and Yeo is one of cohesion, overlapping graphics, and a fiery tribute to sticking it to the man. A perfect start to your Monday.
