Live Review: PREMIERE: Mickey Kojak ft. Tazzy ‘Feel My Pain’

A recent inductee into the SWEAT IT OUT family, Sydney’s Michael Dable (otherwise known as his moniker MICKEY KOJAK) has had quite a successful 2014 so far. We’re pleased as punch to be presenting his latest offering ‘Feel My Pain’, featuring the sonically stunning vocals of TAZZY.

Warped synths paired with splashes of cymbal-esque claps are accentuated by a beat heavy hook, and work to make the track quite huge. The hook in particular when joined with the vocals and the trawling metallic splashes from the hi-hat gives the track an element of jazz. I think if anything, the sound is particularly reminiscent of some of BASEMENT JAXX’s work.

Definitely one to look out for, MICKEY KOJAK has exploded onto the scene with an absolutely stunning debut. Only the best is to come from this Sydney producer.
