GLASS ANIMALS are well and truly rearing their musical heads. With the warm, saucy sound of tracks like 'Gooey' and, more recently, 'Pools' spilling over the airwaves, and with the upcoming release of their debut LP 'ZABA', the Oxfordshire-based quartet have already shown their claws to the world and pointed to the heights of their musical prowess.

But with great prowess comes great responsibility, and a swooning international fan base calls for some serious time on the road.

Whilst ferrying their magic from city to city and shore to shore, in what can often be less than enviable living conditions, these four English lads treat themselves to one or two necessary creature comforts. They also lug around an electric piano and the entire collection of 'Tintin' on DVD.

These are some of the things that keep GLASS ANIMALS from breaking point:

1. SLEEPING EQUIPMENT (EAR PLUGS, AN EYE MASK AND A PILLOW)

"This is vital. Sleep needs to get got on tour. These items help sleep get got. This is what is known as 'tour-van rocket science.'"

2. 1 x FENDER RHODES

"People love travelling light when they are on the road when it comes to production gear. We travel with a Fender Rhodes, so we can write ALMOST anywhere on the go."

3. A BOX SET OF DVDS

"For whiling away hours in traffic jams."

4. HUMOUR/SENSE OF ADVENTURE

"Not as important as a Fender Rhodes. But definitely helps."

5. SHOES

"These are also not as important as a Rhodes, but keep feet dry. Drew forgot these last time we went to Europe. That is a true fact."

GLASS ANIMALS release their debut LP 'ZABA' on Friday, June 6.
