Live Review: SOUNDCLOUD WRAP: Henry Saiz

House-happy Spaniard HENRY SAIZ is just one of a handful of killer international electronic artists to be booked for the new 'HOLEANDCORNER' festival, coming to Sydney and Melbourne next month.

Rubbing shoulders with the likes of HOT CHIP DJS and MATTHEW DEAR, SAIZ may not be the most instantly-recognisable name on the bill for Australian audiences - but his sound is one that certainly deserves recognition.

Hailing from Madrid, he produces trancey, deep-house techno beats in the vein of artists like BOOKA SHADE, and with the kind of justified audacity that sees him reworking 'The Sound Of Silence' as though PAUL SIMON and ART GARFUNKEL had been personally enlisted to provide vocals for the project. His style evidently draws its water from a range of sonic sources...

...and his Soundcloud Wrap is a delightfully eclectic testimony to that fact.
