Live Review: Say Lou Lou 'Everything We Touch' (Noah Breakfast Remix)

25 May 2014 | 12:57 am | Lauren Payne

Say Lou Lou have been remixed by Philadelphian producer Noah breakfast who you may recognised from the latest Howls track.

A few months back you may have heard the latest HOWLS track '004'. The track, produced by KIT POP and TA-KU featured a new producer who decided to join in the mix for '004' and most definitely helped the Perth boys knock it out of the ball park.

This producer is known as NOAH BREAKFAST and he has a lot to give. NOAH BREAKFAST hails from Philadelphia in the United States and today we found out the producer has remixed our favourite Swedish/Australian sisters, SAY LOU LOU.

SAY LOU LOU have their  Everything We Touch EP being released this July and if you've been watching the girls as closely as we have, you would have already heard the title track, seen it's accompanying film clip and the B-side of the EP 'Peppermint'. The EP is to be released digitally and on lovely, waxy vinyl but until the EP is released, NOAH BREAKFAST's remix should be able to keep the ball rolling.

The original cut of 'Everything We Touch' is very velvety smooth during it's introduction before bursting into an energetic wave of upbeat synths and heavy percussion. The new remix is not as bombarding, because really, it's the total opposite of the original mix. NOAH BREAKFAST has taken the vocals of 'Everything We touch' and placed them in front of a smooth atmospheric melody that keeps everything very calm. Distorted vocals during the chorus create an even deeper vibe, reminding you of a deep pool that pure blue. The remix keeps everything sounding simple and unfolds only one piece at a time with a variety of samples and pieces of percussion hopping on through.

SAY LOU LOU's Everything We Touch EP will be released on July 2 both digitally and physically and NOAH BREAKFAST will no doubt pop back up on your radar soon. By helping out his mates HOWLS, Australia now knows a thing or two about NOAH BREAKFAST and we may see more of him in the future.
