CULTS are back in the sunburnt country for the second time around, playing a string of their own, intimate sideshows.
In 2011, New York indie-pop darlings CULTS threw their tasseled hat into the musical ring and came out singing. In 2012, off the back of their critically-acclaimed, eponymous debut LP and with a Pitchfork ‘Best New Music’ badge pinned to their sleeve, they rocked the proverbial socks off of Australian audiences for the first time as part of Laneway Festival.
In 2013 they released their sophomore album, ‘Static’. And now they’re back in the sunburnt country for the second time around, playing a bunch of sets nationwide as part of the regional Groovin’ the Moo festival, as well as a string of their own, more intimate sideshows.

Whether you’re missing GTM for lack of tickets, your car blew up, your timetable sucks or you’re just plain cultish over CULTS, there’s a slew of reasons why you might want to go and check these guys out. The number one being that the best things in life are free: and we're willing to give you a double-pass to your nearest sideshow for doing pretty much nothing.
By ‘pretty much nothing’ I mean sending us an email with your full name and local city to info@purplesneakers.com.au, with the subject line 'CULTS'. From there it’s just a matter of sitting back, kicking up your trotters and waiting for us to tell you whether you’ve won. Easy as.
