Bribane's YesYou have teamed up with Noah Slee and L D R U for their new track 'Even When'.
Brisbane bros Jono Kirkham and Gav Perry make up tropical production duo YESYOU. Vibing on an endless Summer, they've just dropped their new single 'Even When'; co-produced by LDRU and featuring the vocals of NOAH SLEE.
We all know that the sunny holiday season can't last forever, but when it's in full swing, it truly does leave a mark on the soul. The concoction of longer days, pleasant night air, music festivals and rowdy parties harbour a tremendous amount of memories, it'd be nearly impossible to not find yourself nostalgic over the crazy three month period. That's why so many Summery songs heard or composed outside of this time of year pertain a sense of momentum, a bit like YesYou's new track.
Trying to maintain a soothing, gleeful nature, you can't help but also sense a glum aspect to 'Even When'. Washed with gentle tones, soft beats and vocals that tumble through a loss of clarity, the entire track is as delightfully playful as it is solemn in that it flashes back on the warmest time of the year; reminding us that we are, for now, no longer a part of it.
