Live Review: LISTEN: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah 'Coming Down'

CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH are indie rock veterans and have had their name on the tongue of many musical lovers since they released their self-titled first album back in 2005.

Distorted guitars and brooding, twisted vocals became their underground signature and CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH became widely renowned with tracks like 'Maniac' and 'Hysterical' (interesting names right?).

With a brand new album set for release this winter, the band have finally emerged from the studio and made a new single available to stream and download through trusty SoundCloud. This is the acts's first release since their 2013 EP Little Moments and for those who hadn't heard of CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH before, this is your introduction to a band that you will soon be hooked on.

With crunchy guitars and heavy drums bringing in 'Coming Down' we are welcomed into a very textured new world. With vocals actually being lent to the band by THE NATIONAL's Matt Berninger, 'Coming Down' has a slice of old school, from when the two acts were touring together several years ago.

The latest album from CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH, 'Only Run' will be released on June 3.
