Live Review: WATCH: Bok Bok 'Melba's Call' ft. Kelela (Official Video)
Night Slugs signing Bok Bok has released the music video for his new single 'Melba's Call' which was released only a few days ago.
A little while back we introduced to you to 'Melba's Call', BOK BOK's brand new track that featured the sweet vocals of KELELA.
It's a lovely new tune from the Night Slugs staple, which has now has an accompanying music video involving a lush landscape and a 3D rendered studio scene.
'Melba's Call', as we explained when we first heard it, has a very slow but steady beat. The chopped synths are structured in a way that compliment the vocals KELELA has recorded, and basically BOK BOK has used every element of the work to create a dance track that we have become infected by.

The new video seems very simple upon first glance, however this clip has a lot of small elements that come together in a very elegant way. Beginning with a few simple shots of a mixing desk, you would firstly think that the video would simply be set in a recording studio, but have you ever seen a studio that featured a glasshouse in the centre. The glasshouse sits in the centre of a dark room and holds various fauna. Its the natural bright green colouring amongst the grey shadows that, along with a digital projection of KELELA, brighten the empty surroundings.
Both BOK BOK and KELELA have been announced for the 2014 FOR Festival alongside DARKSIDE, MOVEMENT and TENSNAKE. The festival is sure to be stunning this year, and BOK BOK and KELELA are sure to be highlight acts.
