Julio Bashmore and Jessie Ware's single 'Peppermint' now boasts its very own film clip.

Bristol house producer JULIO BASHMORE has teamed up with JESSIE WARE on his track 'Peppermint'. A joy to listen to, the song now boasts an accompanying film clip.

Lately we've come across a lot of animated clips experimenting with 2D and 3D techniques. Although these videos are usually pretty impressive, rarely do we see something quite as well crafted as 'Peppermint'. Directed by Noah Harris leading a huge crew of producers, illustrators, designers and other artists, we're faced with a clip encompassing a range of mediums in order to visually aid the new single.

Objects are brought to life through stop motion, illustration and animation; syncing with the track they represent both lyrically and to the beat. From shadowing to illumination, every fine detail has been considered in the making of this clip, alongside all elements merging together impeccably. From what is actually happening for the audience, a sense of obscurity and fantasy evokes as we relate these images to the main lyric, "I'm hot for you".

With striking gold objects shining through dark plains, the use of the colour peppermint is perceived to be just as royal, as the antidote poured into the mouth of the woman made of this colour is what truly boosts the soul of the track, releasing the child from within. Thanks to this one feature of the video, it's clear that the song itself can only mean well.

Julio Bashmore's 'Peppermint' was released by Boardwalk Records, and is available for purchase via iTUNES.
