Live Review: WATCH: Delorean 'Unhold' ft. Caroline Polachek (Official Video)

Spanish-native electronic-indie rockers DELOREAN, have released a trippy new video for their track 'Unhold' featuring vocalist CAROLINE POLACHEK from their latest 2013 album 'Apar'.

The track is a shining example of the band's staple dreamy tone and enigmatic style of experimentation, especially through the vocal treatment brought to the track by featuring CHAIRLIFT frontwoman POLACHEK.

The techniques used are hard to pinpoint, whether it's the strange, minimal yet effective use of an auto-tune vocoder or otherwise that makes her vocals sound like they were recorded in reverse to be played in retrograde for her verses. An effect that sounds perplexingly beautiful, nonetheless.

The video for 'UNHOLD' is equally interesting and puzzling as POLACHEK's vocal treatments.

Camera manipulation is king here, whether it is stretching out limbs of the singer, or folding in on the band members performing the song, the effects edited into the video make it feel like each frame is breathing in and out amongst metal structures - much like the music, it'll have you scratching your head, in a good way.
