Live Review: The Brian Jonestown Massacre Drop New Single 'Days, Weeks and Moths'

14 November 2013 | 12:00 pm | Nick Luke

Legendary San Franciscan psych-rockers The Brian Jonestown Massacre release a new single entitled 'Days, Weeks and Moths'

Ever since the very early 1990's, legendary San Franciscan pysch-rockers THE BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE have been melting minds with their unique and kaleidoscopic style of music, over a prolifically gigantic catalogue of music. BJM fans rejoice, because the group have officially dropped their long awaited latest single entitled 'Days, Weeks and Moths'.

The track sees a return to their staple style of experimental psych-rock, the slow paced tune feels like the soundtrack to a spaghetti western epic - a journey through an orange desert dotted with Aztec temples and and talking foxes. (A bit like that Simpsons episode, actually).

The new single will be part of a 7" split vinyl release, with UK's THE KVB, who will be supporting the BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE on their upcoming tour to our shores later this year.

Yep, that's right - if you hadn't heard already, the merry band of rockers will be hitting a large handful of venues around Australia in December, whilst also attending the Meredith Music Festival, with THE KVB holding the roles of support. You can definitely be sure to hear BJM's latest single as well as a bunch of their classics, reaching as far back to the early 90's, at their live shows this year.
