Live Review: WATCH: Solange 'Lovers In The Parking Lot' (Official Video)

SOLANGE is back with her latest single seeing a retro-chic video to match, complete with the most radical and/or interpretative dance moves you've seen this side of Footloose.

Okay, first I'd just like to get out of the way the obviously obligatory common knowledge info that goes along with anything SOLANGE related: Yes, she is BEYONCE's sister. But really, if this video proves anything, it's that stylistically and artistically, the sisters are completely different.

So now we have that out of the way, let's get onto business. 'LOVERS IN THE PARKING LOT', both visually and sonically, is a nostalgic trip to the 80s. Dancing through retro arcade halls dressed in holographic pink hotpants and the like, all to the tune of verbed snare drums that dominate the soundscape, blanketed by arpeggiated and sequenced synths and pianos.

Above all this is SOLANGE's stunning staple vocal licks, soaring from lush highs to smooth lows, before spreading out to self-backed harmonies within the chorus whilst she dances around a smoky, darkened room. Glamorous and retro, the video clip just needs a keytar solo and it'd perfect.
