Live Review: LISTEN: Goldroom 'Embrace'

10 September 2013 | 3:02 pm | Hannah Galvin

Check out Goldroom's latest single and title track to his most recent effort 'Embrace'.

Josh Legg - the man behind GOLDROOM, has released the leading single and title track of his Embrace EP. The LA producer has grabbed the help of Ariela Jacobs for vocal duties, lending a sense of femininity to the track.

What begins as a few synth lines mimicking the sound of plucked harp strings, 'Embrace' walks through louder and fuller environments as the track progresses, particularly upon every entrance of the chorus. When it does reach this point, we're constantly confronted with the nostalgic lyrics of "I've been thinking 'bout you every day...", transforming the song into a reflection of a relationship that is now nothing more than a memory.

Most profound by the end of 'Embrace', the entire track forms into its suggested title through not only the lyricism, but the way in which it is passionately executed alongside the peaking instrumentation.
