Live Review: FREE DOWNLOAD: Du Tonc 'Mixtape 1'
Du Tonc have created their 'Mixtape 1', the possible soundtrack to our summer.
With summer just around the corner everyone is starting to create new playlists. Whether it's a playlist for that festival you just bought tickets to, or just for a sweet road trip with friends out to nowhere, the lists are piling up!
There are plenty of electronic artists out there who know a thing or two about making a pretty decent mixtape. DU TONC have pretty much nailed a 'summer playlist' with their new one, so lets take a look now shall we?
Spanning over 48 fun minutes, 'Mixtape 1' features some lovely summery tunes with beaming synths and tropical beats, perfect for a nice summer soundtrack. The mix of tropical sounds and disco is something we've come to love from DU TONC and this playlist exhibits some of their favourite acts with their own flavour thrown over the top. You'll recognise some tracks from SHIT ROBOT, YUKSEK, BLACK YAYA, JBAG, JUAN MCLEAN and maybe a few others, but DU TONC hasn't revealed the rest of the artists for very fun reasons.

DU TONC not only have made 'Mixtape 1' a free download for us all, but they have also given listeners the chance to win a free t-shirt by guessing the mixtape's track list. So if you recognise a heel of a lot of the tracks on 'Mixtape 1', or even just think you do you can enter over at DU TONC's Facebook page and hopefully, you'll end up being sent a t-shirt in the mail!
Along with 'Mixtape 1' DU TONC have also revealed that their new track 'Island' will be released on October 7, I wonder what we're in for. Stay tuned guys!
