When you're paddling up to the surface from underneath a body of water, you reach for the jagged sunlight that shines like crimson through the ripples of the crystal waves. You strive for that breath of fresh air that will hit once you break the waters edge, feeling so close yet so far to your goal of releasing yourself from the water; that once you finally make it there, you experience the greatest sense of relief possible within that moment. This is exactly what resonates at the open of 'Acapulco & LA'.
After this short yet momentous climb, we're introduced to some very tropical sounds that make you want to escape to the comfortable climate and relaxation of any tropical destination. Though this instrumental blanket is prevalent for the entirety of the track, it is counteracted with a tale of heartbreak expressed through the songs lyricism.
