Live Review: FREE DOWNLOAD: Chromeo 'Over Your Shoulder'
Chromeo have released the first track from their forthcoming album White Women, titled 'Over Your Shoulder' as a free digital download!
The other week we introduced you to the trailer video of White Women [HERE]- the fourth album by New York duo CHROMEO. Where visual meets audio, we were also teased by a new song of there's titled 'Over Your Shoulder'. If you keep replaying the clip just to hear this funky track, it's time you jump over to Chromeo's Soundcloud as they've officially released the brand new song!
As we've previously mentioned, there's some deep Daft Punk vibes circa Random Access Memories going on in 'Over Your Shoulder' - the first new Chromeo track in three years! The elegant bassline glides the entire way through, occasionally supported by a like-minded electric guitar and keyboard as they both drop in and out for generous visits.
The spritzy beat, raspy synth and percussion also help curate this smooth vibe, but it's the vocals that really give this song that certain something. The lyrics are suggestive yet tasteful, as the Chromeo gents prove just how charming they are.
