Arcade Fire Tease New Album 'Reflektor'
Canadian indie-rockers Arcade Fire release a teaser video for their new album 'Reflektor'.
The illustrious Canadian indie-rockers, ARCADE FIRE have finally broke the silence and owned up about all the speculation surrounding a possible new album in the works. And so, yes it is true - Reflektor is coming.
ARCADE FIRE have released a tantalizing 40-second long teaser video via their YouTube channel. The clip shares with us a small artistic insight into the bands studio life with a colourful montage consisting of instruments and equipment, beautiful glimpses of locales, and band members playing, all finally tied together by the stark image of the Reflektor logo accompanied by the cryptic numeric message: "9/9 9pm".

In an age where album launch marketing campaigns are continually striving to be unique and aim to set apart from the rest (for example with Daft Punk's latest 'Random Access Memories' or even Jay-Z's 'Magna Carta Holy Grail'), ARCADE FIRE has been seemingly very tight-lipped about the swirl of speculation surrounding their new album. However, fans have spotted the Reflektor symbol that is shown in the video in various cities around the world, placed as graffiti or banners - some of which are located in and around Sydney (I saw one last night in Bondi, and it wasn't until seeing the video this morning that everything clicked).
Prior to the debut of the video the band had not made any comment alluding to the connection between their new album and the worldwide street art, but now everything is falling into place as we inch ever closer to "9/9 9pm" where, sources say, "something ARCADE FIRE related will be released."
It has been some time since their last full length album, 2010's 'The Suburbs', which won multiple prestigious album of the year awards. With only a two track EP being released in 2012, the anticipation for the bands next major work is eating away at us.
