Live Review: LISTEN: Round Table Knights 'Societe Perrier Mix'

Swiss musicians like to keep their work fairly clean, leaving the grittier electro to their American friends. ROUND TABLE KNIGHTS have provided us with an example of such smooth, Euro sound on their mix for nightlife society Societé Perrier.

If it weren’t for the synth interludes the mix almost puts you in place of a jazz lounge. While the tempo doesn’t tire (chill doesn’t have to mean slow beats) the bassline is driven by instrumental double bass à la 90s TV theme, alongside plenty of handclaps.

While the mix might fall under such genre titles as glimmerwave or electro-funk it spans a beautifully wide palette of sounds. What they do share is a strong beat underlying a funky percussion set.
