Live Review: LISTEN: Elizabeth Rose 'The Good Life'

26 August 2013 | 7:38 pm | Lauren Payne

Elizabeth Rose has released a new single which is our first taste of a new EP that is expected to drop later this year.

ELIZABETH ROSE's ethereal vocals just lift a room off it's haunches and helps it float up into the clouds from which it will never return. The girl has made a serious impact since the release of her debut EP Crystallize back in 2012, singing alongside FLIGHT FACILITIES, selected at Triple J's Next Crop artist not to mention her collaboration with SINDEN, which ended up being released on his beloved label Grizzly.

She has released a new track that has been mastered over in jolly old England by some award-winning producers. Matt Colton, who has previously worked with JAMES BLAKE, mastered the track and the track was also produced by ELIZABETH herself with the help of Cameron Parkin and Stylaz Fuego. The track is called 'The Good Life' and has lyrics that venture back to the days where the singer dreamed of leaving the family home and spreading her wings out in the big wide world of music.

Opening with some synths that just buzz around you like strong beams of light, 'The Good Life' has such an optimistic aura and really is just a generally uplifting track. The chorus is catchy as hell, and the melody is one you can get lost in. The most exciting part about this track is that it's the first taste of a brand new EP that ELIZABETH ROSE will be releasing later on in the year, everybody get excited!
