Live Review: WATCH: Hibou 'Above Us' (Official Video)
Seattle's Hibou has just dropped the clip to coincide with the release of his track 'Above Us'.
Seattle based musician Peter Michel - known to his musical peers as HIBOU, has just released the feel good clip to his track 'Above Us', premiered by Noisey!
Coming off of his EP Dunes, the 19 year old's new track has been released as the follow up to 'Sunder' that was presented to us earlier this year. Thanks to this EP and the dude's official debut single 'Glow'/'Hollow', we've become familiar with the sound that this young musician exhibits.
Noisey believes that the work of Hibou is "the even prettier cousin to Wild Nothing", and we agree; but we think it also touches base with Melbourne's Bored Nothing and Canada's Teen Daze (think the Beach Dreams EP). In saying that though, it's completely Hibou's own sound, and we're so glad to know it. Find out what we mean with 'Above Us'.

It's so convenient that this clip was released at the peak of Australia's Winter. Nostalgic in every sense, we're left with a montage of footage from the 1960s, promoting all the things that there still is to love about Summer; friends, the ocean, beach babes, ball sports, cruising, skateboarding, surfing.. It's totally jam packed.
Edited with a washed out tone as if to resonate with an old, browning photograph, the clip provokes memories, particularly reflecting on the good times that Summer tends to spoil us with.
Coupled with the surf-pop, chilled out track, it almost feels possible to jump into the video and join the smiling faces of 'Above Us'.
Hibou will be embarking on his first ever tour this August, travelling through Portland, San Francisco, San Diego and Denver.
