Live Review: LISTEN: Femme 'Double Trouble' (Blamma! Blamma! Remix)

Releasing tracks on tape is becoming a regular thing again, as vinyl gets a regular spin, cassettes are creeping back onto the scene just when you thought you'd be done with the old players you had back in the nineties.

Labels like Burger Records are releasing plenty of great tracks and albums on tape, and a lovely songstress who has jumped back on the tape bandwagon is FEMME, who is ready to blow your mind.

FEMME has previously sung for Nigel Goldrich (producer for RADIOHEAD) and his band ULTRAISTA but now she has broken out into her own, writing her own tracks and producing them as well. Her music has been put onto playlists by BBC 6 Music and XFM in the UK, and now with her AA single Double Trouble/ Educated being released on July 22, the boys of BLAMMA! BLAMMA! have listened to her single 'Double Trouble' and have done what they do best, mix it into a spectacular house track.

Deep house sounds have been pulled into the mix by BLAMMA! BLAMMA! and the whole track has a sweet vocal echoing throughout 'Double Trouble' bring the pop hooks into play. The mix of electronica and house is always a treat as the genres tend to work so well together and BLAMMA! BLAMMA! are masters at both, so their mix of 'Double Trouble' shows you why they are so good at what they do.

Double Trouble/Educated is to be released on July 22, but of course check out some of FEMME's other tracks as well on her SoundCloud.
