Ego Announces South African & Australasian Tour Dates

One part DJ, one part visual artist, EGO continues to blow perceptions of art and club music out of the park. And no less so with his latest offering ‘A Trip with Ego’ his forthcoming mixtape and tour of the same name which sees EGO performing a new live show to audiences across Australia, NZ, Indonesia and South Africa, while presenting a series of audio-visual workshops along the way.

A true pioneer in his field, EGO’s brand of video production has picked up hundreds of thousands of views online and kept him in demand from industry and fans alike, having produced videos for acts like THE PRESETS, TA KU, LANCELOT, and CLUBFEET. Meanwhile his most recent effort, official clip for L D R U's "The Tropics" caught the attention of SKRILLEX, DIPLO and A-TRAK who premiered the eye-popping video for ‘The Tropics’ on their YouTube channel, PotatoWillEatYou:

The video is the first look at EGO’s new show A Trip with Ego and video mixtape of the same name, to be released next month. "The Tropics" is the first exclusive video from the mixtape.

EGO’s live performances are a must-see multi-sensory excursion. Onscreen he throws together a storm of visual samples in a psychedelic cinemascape, all the while dishing up genre-melding, club-smashing DJ sets to the dancefloor. An EGO show is an experience like no other, melding pop culture references with far-flung visuals, in a mesmerising alternate reality, that has taken him from clubs and venues across Australia to the main stages of festivals Splendour in the Grass and Field Day and now to audiences around Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Indonesia on his A Trip with Ego tour kicking off later this month.

On the stage, the music performance and visual art mash-up as seen in 'A TRIP WITH EGO', will take the audience on a wild ride exploring the theme of psychedelica, adventure and travel.

“I’ll be bringing in lots of surreal elements as well as getting tropical, bringing some world bass and global sounds to the club on this tour,” shares EGO. “And sampling everything from cinema classics to forgotten footage, old magazines, 70’s home movies, 80’s beauty pageants, 90’s infomercials and today’s YouTube sensations!”

EGO has already attracted hundreds of thousands of views for his unique video productions, including videos and remixes for artists, clubs and festivals such as The Presets and Parklife, plus mind blowing mixtapes Watch Your Ego and his excusive Video Mix for Modular.
