Nathan Williams & Stephen Pope see their weird tour experience turn into an animation; a story we were told by Williams in our Wavves interview last month!

WAVVES FRAMES

Frames is an animated feature by Pitchfork, where they get a musician to tell a recount first-hand and bring it to life in an animated format.

Funnily enough, their latest instalment is of Nathan Williams and Stephen Pope of WAVVES, detailing a story of a crazy night they once had in Vegas; one we were actually personally told by Williams in a recent INTERVIEW we featured on the site.

After asking him what the weirdest thing he's ever experienced on tour is, he told us,

"I dont want to implicate myself in any of constant shenanigans happening on our tours but two years ago we stayed in Vegas and Stephen and i robbed a coke dealer wearing a mindless self indulgence butt flap. He chased after us and jumped onto the side of our car while we were speeding away so i took our drivers shoes which were on the ground and started hitting him thru the sun roof.

He eventually fell off and rolled away (we were going pretty fast). Once we drove a little further the driver kicked Stephen and i out bc i lost her shoes in the scuffle earlier. Long story short we somehow ended up at another party where i profusely vomited in the bathroom before leaving and passing out in the bushes somewhere in vegas. I woke up in the back of a cop car."

Extremely proud to see one of our interviewees answers turn into a animated short film including loads of gambling, drugs and a twelvie Bart Simpson snorting lines of cocaine off his skate board, we present to you 'Vegas Vacation'.
