Live Review: LISTEN: Owl Eyes 'Closure' (Giraffage Remix)
San Fran producer Giraffage has just released his sophisticated remix to Owl Eyes' 'Closure'.
San Francisco producer GIRAFFAGE is a musician who is persistently climbing the ladder to great things without any wear or strain. Whether he releases an original track or a remix, he always manages to create something of pure bliss and sophistication. This is evident in his recent remix of OWL EYES' 'Closure'.
This mix is completely different to the original version of 'Closure'. What once carried a stack of layers and female vocals now only appears in small snippets and altered appearances. It truly is so completely different, it's as though Giraffage has crafted a completely new track.

You initially feel like you're floating in some sort of body of water. The weightless, sparkling synths combined with the hollow, repetitive (and now warped) vocals are a complete dream. Although this doesn't last, as there's a slight change of mood about two minutes in. Nothing depressing, but it's definitely been pulled down a little. Within the track's final minute, the plug has been pulled and we're slowly drowning in the thick buzzing that has taken over the delicacies of the track.
Considering the nature of Giraffage's music, it's no surprise that this dude has just taken off to play shows with XXYYXX around Europe.
