HANNAH GALVIN is our very own Sydney girl in-the-know. She's a PURPLE SNEAKERS website subeditor and valuable member of our rapidly expanding online community. Being behind a fair chunk of the content you read on our site, we thought it was time for her to show you what she's into and invited her to conduct our 'Guest Soundcloud Wrap' for the week...

Take it away HANNAH!

"As part of Record Store Day for this year, San Fran's TY SEGALL will be releasing a follow up 45 to his original Ty Rex EP featuring two covers of Marc Bolan's tracks that he originally wrote and performed as T. Rex

One of those tracks is 'The Motivator' found on the 1971 record Electric Warrior. A super raw version, I've pretty much been besties with this track ever since I found its upload via Goner Records.

Last year, Sydney club GOODGOD released this super rad mixtape for Oyster in recognition of 2012's Splendour In The Grass.

Featuring classics including Jim Ford's 'I'm Gonna Make Her Love Me' and the Sunnyboys' 'Alone With You', as well as some new garage treasures like Eddy Current's 'Precious Rose' and the sweet funk of No Zu's 'Emotion'. The GoodGod crew have compiled the perfect playlist for not just roadtrips, but any sort of relaxed occasion.

A few months ago, I went and checked out Wild Nothing play Oxford Art Factory. Yeah, they put on a fantastic show, but I came out of the venue more impressed by New Zealand's POPSTRANGERS.

After Soundclouding the dudes, I came across their entire debut via Carpark Records and have been listening to it continuously ever since, particularly 'Heaven' and '404'.

I only discovered I'LLS through the post we put up a few weeks back for their new single 'Plans Only Drawn'. The Melbourne trio are YesPlease's latest signee, which is perfect considering their soft electronica that is also evident in the work of label buddies Guerre, The Townhouses and Oliver Tank.

Their forthcoming EP A Warm Reception is due through the label on May 21st.

Having already wooed me over with Red Riders and Straight Arrows, it was obvious that Sydney local Al Grigg would continue to grab my attention with his latest band PALMS.

Not exactly a new track, check them if you haven't already for fun vibes. They're playing I OH YOU's Anzac Day Eve party at GoodGod!

Kyle Thomas' solo project KING TUFF consists of a really awesome garage, powerpop sound. He's signed to both Sub Pop and Burger Records (a Soundcloud account worth following in itself) and released a song about his necklace titled 'Sun Medallion'.

He basically found it at an op-shop he was working at and wrote a song about it. King Tuff will be headlining that same I OH YOU party at GoodGod, before Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide at the end of this month.

MELODY'S ECHO CHAMBER's 'Crystallized' was only uploaded very recently via Shook Entertainment's account. Coming from their debut record released through Fat Possum, it would be wise to keep a keen eye on what is to come of this French outfit.

I heard DEVOTIONAL's track 'Mercy' ages ago via FBi Radio, and had to rediscover it almost immediately. It is simply such a beautiful track, you have to listen to this one alone. Devotional will be playing Sunset People at Hotel Hollywood this Sunday evening.

Not sure if it was Pilerats' three-way interview influence, but it seems as though TA-KU, Chet Faker and Flume are viewed as Australia's top three most talked about producers at the moment.

Ta-ku's rework of Chet Faker's debut EP Thinking In Textures is a pretty good example as to why this may be the case; its choppy new look is just as worth listening to as the original! You can grab Cutting With Textures (Ode To Chet Faker) as a free download.

Bedroom Suck is one of my absolute favourite labels, and PEAK TWINS' 'Only Sun' is a pretty good damn example why. That laid back approach of breezy guitars and honest vocals before falling into a coloured mood shift...

It's such a valuable type of music."
